Tomato Grafted Vegetable Plants Collection
Tomato Grafted Vegetable Plants Collection from Fothergill's includes three well-established 9cm grafted plants, each offering unique flavour, size, and growth habits:
Shirley F1 (Standard) – a much-loved variety known for heavy yields of well-flavoured fruits. Early to mature and highly reliable, this hybrid produces vigorous, indeterminate plants that provide a long season of enjoyment.
Supersweet F1 (Cherry) – prolific plants producing small, sweet red cherry tomatoes. Recognised in the top three of the 2007 Tastiest Tomato competition, these indeterminate plants deliver a dependable and flavoursome harvest.
Buffalo Steak F1 (Beefsteak) – meaty, bright red fruits with a classic tomato flavour. Early and more productive than many similar varieties, these vigorous, indeterminate plants continue cropping throughout the season.
Grafted vegetable plants give gardeners stronger, more vigorous growth with greater resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases such as nematodes. The grafting process combines a hybrid variety with a species rootstock, producing robust plants that yield heavier crops. While traditionally grown in greenhouses, these plants also perform well outdoors in warm, sunny positions.
Supplied as well-established plants in 9cm pots. Please leave the plastic grafting clip in place – it will naturally detach as the plant grows.
