Strawberry Cambridge Favourite AGM A+ Grade Fruit Plants
Strawberry Cambridge Favourite AGM A+ Grade Fruit Plants
Strawberry Cambridge Favourite from Fothergill’s is a much-loved classic, first introduced in the 1930s and still treasured by gardeners today. Celebrated for its wonderfully sweet flavour, dependable cropping in all summer conditions and soil types, and excellent disease resistance, it produces delicious fruit from June into early July. Often hailed as the ultimate variety for homemade strawberry jam, it’s equally delicious eaten fresh straight from the plant.
Delivered as dormant bare-rooted A+ grade plants, grown through the summer and protected with fleece early in the season. Only plants with a crown diameter of 15mm or more qualify for this premium grade. With their strong, well-developed root systems, A+ grade plants typically produce 3-4 trusses each, leading to more flowers, more fruit, and impressive yields of over 400g of berries per plant. Trials have shown these plants can produce around 50% more berries than standard runners.
