Pepper Corno Di Toro Grafted Vegetable Plants
Pepper Corno Di Toro Grafted Vegetable Plants bring a touch of Mediterranean charm to the garden, producing long, sweet peppers with a wonderfully crisp texture. Their distinctive “Bull’s Horn” shape and rich flavour make them a favourite for family meals – delicious sliced into salads, roasted, fried, stuffed or grilled on warm summer evenings. Harvest the fruits green or allow them to ripen to a deep red for an even sweeter taste.
Grafted vegetable plants offer gardeners greater vigour and much stronger resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases, such as nematodes – particularly useful if you grow in greenhouse border soil each year where crop rotation is limited. The grafting process combines the best attributes of two different plants – a species rootstock and a hybrid variety. The hybrid variety is grafted onto the species rootstock to create plants that are strong and vigorous, producing more fruits and heavier yields. Although traditionally grown in the greenhouse, they will also crop well outdoors when placed in a warm, sunny position.
Supplied as well-established plants in 9cm pots. Please do not remove the plastic grafting clip – it will fall off naturally as the plant grows.
