Garlic Rhapsody Wight Bulbs (Softneck)

Garlic Rhapsody Wight Bulbs (Softneck) are supplied as 2 bulbs and offer an attractive, early cropping purple garlic variety ideal for UK gardens.

This outstanding softneck garlic develops into bright, large bulbs that rise naturally from the soil as they swell, revealing beautiful deep purple streaking and mottling. Originating from the traditional ‘Violet de Cadours’ in south-west France, it has been carefully selected and improved to ensure strong performance in UK conditions.

It produces a fresh, zingy flavour that is perfect for everyday cooking and can also be harvested young as green garlic. Known as the earliest purple garlic available, it can be ready from June when planted in autumn at the correct time.

Grown in partnership with trusted expert growers at The Garlic Farm, each bulb is selected for quality and reliability. Easy to grow in beds or containers, it is a rewarding choice for gardeners looking for both flavour and visual appeal.

All bulbs are certified disease and virus free, ensuring confidence from planting through to harvest.

Garlic Types
Hardneck types have a distinctive flavour and produce coiled flower stalks known as ‘scapes’ or ‘racamboles’. These are best removed to increase bulb size and are excellent chopped into salads and stir-fries.

Softneck garlics are the most commonly grown. They do not produce a flower stalk and are valued for their excellent storage qualities, traditionally being plaited once harvested.
