Cut Worm Control Nematodes 60sq.m (Nematode Steinernema) are microscopic worms that seek out cutworms (caterpillars), then feed and multiply inside them to stop these pests damaging your plants. Cutworms are nocturnal and can feast on a wide range of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Nematodes are naturally found in soil—by using this product you are simply topping up the natural population.

Cutworms are caterpillars from a diverse genus of moths. They emerge from the soil at night to target stems, cutting down plants at the base. These soft-bodied caterpillars vary in colour—brown, yellow, or green—typically around 2.5cm in length with distinct stripes along their bodies. They often curl into a C-shape when disturbed. First signs of infestation include droppings and plants cut off at ground level.

Nematode products are renowned biological controls, providing many benefits over traditional gardening chemicals and are a key ally for organic gardeners. All products are simple to apply, safe to use, and harmless to children, pets, birds, and wildlife.

Application Guidelines:

• Recommended minimum soil temperature: 10°C (50°F)
• Soil or compost must be moist before application and kept moist for at least 2 weeks afterwards; avoid waterlogging
• Apply during evenings or dull conditions to avoid full sunlight

Storage and Handling:

• Store in refrigerator and use within the best before date stated; do not freeze
• This is a live product with an expiry date of approximately 2 weeks (printed on packet); non-returnable
• Use entire packet at one time; do not store made-up solution
• Do not use chemical insecticides during nematode application
