Chilli Pepper Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Yellow Plants
With a fruity flavour and a nuclear punch, the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Yellow is a favourite for those who crave super-hot dishes. (2,000,000+ on the Scoville Heat Unit scale) Phew! This chilli packs an intense heat, and just one or two fruits are enough to create a volcanic chilli or a blazing Balti!
Chilli peppers offer up to SEVEN times the vitamin C content of an orange and are also a rich source of vitamins A and E, beta-carotene, folic acid, and potassium. These peppers are known to aid digestion, relieve joint pain, and help lower blood sugar levels. Super-hot varieties, like the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Yellow, are notoriously difficult to grow from seed without specialist equipment. We've made it easy for you by growing your chilli plants for four months in a hot greenhouse with under-bench heating, ensuring you receive large 9cm plants ready for potting on.
How to grow … the HOTTEST Chillies!
1. Heat makes heat! Grow your chilli plants indoors or undercover in consistently hot conditions (minimum 16°C). They don’t like fluctuating temperatures or humidity.
2. Growing in pots gives you a smaller plant with more fruit. Keep the compost moist, and once flowering begins, feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
3. For maximum heat, reduce watering once the fruit has formed—this will make the chillies even hotter!
Full growing instructions are included.
Please handle the chillies with care. We strongly advise wearing gloves when handling both the fruits and the plants.
