This collection includes a pack each of our two best selling Autumn Planting Shallots:

Jermor AGM- The very best for flavour, Jermor is a true French longue type, bred in the southern Rhône valley. The copper skinned bulbs have a crisp, pink flesh, tinged white. It is a very popular exhibition variety, but it is equally popular in the kitchen for its excellent sweet taste. Stores well.

Griselle- We now source this most wonderful of shallots direct from growers in France. Regarded by discerning cooks as the ‘true shallot’ and also known as the French grey shallot, this long bulb species (Allium oschaninii) originally grew wild in Central Asia. A purplish pink flesh (and a grey skin) is a feature along with a fine strong flavour favoured by cooks - particularly alongside beef.
